The Office of Sustainability leads Lafayette College in advancing sustainability initiatives, transforming innovative ideas into meaningful solutions, and cultivating a culture committed to building a just, equitable world.

We do this work through:

  • Providing thought leadership that positions Lafayette at the intersection of research, service and action
  • Crafting policies and programs to streamline operations and embed our sustainability commitments throughout the campus culture and business decisions
  • Leveraging the campus’ ingenuity to contribute solutions to the prescient challenges of climate change and inequality through research, experiential learning and capacity building
  • Facilitating information exchange that encourages reflection and action
  • Creating meaningful partnerships with community organizations, corporate and governmental entities, higher education institutions and Lafayette’s alumni network
  • Measuring and reporting sustainability performance through various metrics and reporting platforms, on behalf of the college.

These efforts occur directly through the Office of Sustainability and also specifically through LaFarm, an initiative vested within the Office of Sustainability.
