Green Move In helps new students and families recycle tough items easily. School supplies, bedding, and electronics always come in heavy packaging Рwhich can pile up, and used to do so on campus. While unpacking, bring rubbish like plastic, bubble-wrap, Styrofoam, and cardboard into the PODs placed near residence halls.

Last year, we recycled over 4.5 tons of cardboard, 50+ pounds of plastic grocery bags, and 30+ pounds of Styrofoam

Orientation goes by fast. The Office of Sustainability wants to make move-in as easy as possible. Recycling PODS allow students to recycle cardboard, hard Styrofoam, and plastic bags 24/7 from Thursday, August 16-Tuesday, September 4.

ECOreps will be stationed at the PODS on Friday, August 24 during first-year orientation from 7:00 am-11:00 am. Please stop by, if you have any questions about the process.

The four recycling PODS will be located near Watson Court, Farber/Hugel Hall, between South and Ruef, and between Kamine and Conway.
