Lafayette is committed to achieving a 40% diversion rate from the landfill by 2030 and 60% by 2035. Part of our diversion away from the landfill includes collecting and composting food waste.

Lafayette is proud to introduce a new Composting Vessel! You may have noticed some new composting stations in Upper Farinon and Marquis. As a part of our Sustainable Food Loop, we’re excited to launch a Composting Program with a new vessel in 2023!
