Are you interested in being a leader in sustainability on campus? Do you have a passion for the environment you want to share with others in your residence halls? Become an Eco Rep for your house or hall!
Eco Reps are peer-to-peer sustainability leaders in residence halls and off-campus houses throughout campus. Eco Reps educate residents and help foster sustainable habits and life-long behavior change in Lafayette’s living communities that also contribute to our campus sustainability priorities and 2035 carbon neutrality and waste commitments.
Eco Reps make tangible impact on sustainability in residence halls through four main categories:
Eco Reps meet weekly all together to discuss projects and participate in professional development and contribute on average 3-4 hours per week towards their roles.
For the 2026-2027 academic year, Eco Reps will receive $540 per year paid biweekly ($33.75 for 8 pay periods per semester). All assignments must be completed in order to be allocated the stipend.
If you are a part of Fraternity & Sorority Life, we encourage you to represent your chapter and incorporate sustainability as a Sustainability Chair (i.e., the Eco Rep for FSL life!). Talk to your chapter leadership or reach out to sustainability@lafayette.edu with questions.
