Diversity and inclusion are cornerstone pillars of building a more sustainable campus.

Drawing on diverse voices and experiences for insights and leadership ensures solutions stay within plenary boundaries and meet the social foundation for our community. As the college advances our carbon neutrality commitment we must ensure a just transition by creating a more inclusive community.

Diversity & Equity

The Office of Intercultural Development advances Lafayette’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through educational outreach, cultural programming, support and advocacy of historically marginalized groups, and community building. Through programs such as Safe Zone, and Kaleidoscope, we aim to equip our community to promote an inclusive and welcoming campus environment.

Campus Pride

Lafayette College achieved 4.5 out of 5 stars on the Campus Pride Index, indicating a high level of institutional commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, programs and practices. The college also opened a new residence hall, Lavender Lane, as a LGBTQIA+ centered special interest house dedicated to creating an inclusive and queer affirming living space on-campus.
