Have items that you no longer need but are still in good condition? By donating to the campus thrift store or Green Move Out efforts, your items will find a new home. Lafayette is committed to achieving a 40% diversion rate from the landfill by 2030 and 60% by 2035, and participating in the thrift store is one way you can help reach our goals.

What kind of items are eligible for donation?

Appliances New or gently used clothing
Books Non-perishable unopened food
Carpets Small furniture
Cleaning supplies School supplies
Dishes Toiletries
Linens Used cap and gown

Where do I put new or gently used items?

  • Donate to the Thrift Store by placing items in the green bins outside of Pardee Room 25 or RISC 203. Learn more about the campus Thrift Store here.
  • Collection of these items also occurs during Green Move Out at the end of the spring semester.
    • Green bins will be placed in each residence hall, Farinon, Marquis, and RISC (outside room 203) where students can place items to be donated.
    • Place bigger items in the Pod containers located at Conway, March Field, Ruef, Bailey Health Center, and Watson Courts.
