Throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, Lafayette will be hosting sessions to develop, get feedback on, and engage the campus community on the creation of Climate Action Plan 3.0. We invite you to join an upcoming session to be a part of this integral planning process for the college on the journey to carbon neutrality. Session dates and times are below as well as materials from previous sessions.

Upcoming Sessions

On-Campus Sessions - November 5th-7th

Students, faculty and staff are invited to join upcoming in-person sessions to give feedback on and develop CAP 3.0.

November 5th-7th – RSVP Here

General on-campus sessions in November give opportunities for the community to learn about and provide feedback on our Preliminary Climate Action Plan 3.0 Recommendations which will focus on draft decarbonization, resiliency and adaptation goals and strategies.

Additionally, we will offer supplementary sessions on Lafayette’s State of Sustainability, which will focus on Lafayette’s overall sustainability efforts and also offer an update on Climate Action Plan 3.0’s draft vision and principles.

General Sessions – Preliminary Climate Action Plan 3.0 Recommendations: Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Resiliency Strategies
Based on current emissions and climate vulnerabilities, what strategies and goals should Lafayette implement for decarbonization, resiliency and adaptation.

Supplementary Sessions – State of Sustainability & Vision/Principles
Including and beyond emissions, how has Lafayette implemented projects, programs and initiatives to reduce waste, increase sustainability engagement, and drive course alignment. This session will also provide an update on the vision and principles development for CAP 3.0.

These sessions are offered directly before a general session, so if you’d like to attend them consecutively, you can.

Alumni, parents, families, and the local community are invited to join us at upcoming virtual sessions to give your thoughts, expertise and feedback on the plan.

Virtual October Sessions – RSVP

Vision & Principle Session – Wed., Oct. 15, 7pm ET
The objectives of this session is to define a sustainability and climate leadership vision statement for the college and define the accompanying principles that must guide our journey to carbon neutrality.

Greenhouse Gas & Climate Vulnerability Assessment – Tues., Oct. 21, 7pm ET
The objective of this session is to outline Lafayette’s greenhouse gas emissions sources, progress towards our 2035 goal as well as summarize climate risk.
