The Office of Sustainability works to further the academic mission of the College by generating and implementing environmentally responsible initiatives with a 360-degree approach, so that students, faculty, staff, and community members are actively engaged in the Office’s efforts.
2018-2019: In this, the Office of Sustainability’s annual report, we aim to demonstrate our impact, highlight metrics for future bench marking, and share success stories that occurred between fall 2018 and summer 2019. We highlight sustainability efforts in key focus areas: biodiversity and campus ecology, food and farm, energy and greenhouse gas emissions, waste reduction and recycling, curricular integration, and community engagement.
In addition to our annual reports, we report to the Sustainability, Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS), a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance.
