On Saturday October 20th, Lafayette students rallied to clean up litter along the Bushkill Creek.
Lafayette campus is surrounded by beautiful nature. The Bushkill Creek runs along its perimeter with the Karl Stirner Arts Trail close by. These green spaces offer close natural experiences for Lafayette College students, with both being walking distance from campus.
They are important areas to keep clean, not only for the aesthetic and enjoyment, but also because of the watershed and wildlife that make their home in and along the creek. With the help of over 30 volunteers, we were able to remove 7 trash bags of litter and 2 trash bags of recyclables from the Bushkill Creek areas. Thanks to all of our volunteers who made this clean up a success!
