Congratulations to Lafayette’s Energy Manager, Nick DeSalvo for receiving the 2018 Individual Leadership Award from Green Building United’s Lehigh Valley Branch.

In additional to serving as the Energy Manager at Lafayette, Nick is a shared resource and serves as the Director of Sustainability Initiatives for the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC), an independent non-profit organization founded on the principal of collaboration consisting of six member colleges and universities in the Lehigh Valley and six associate institutions in eastern Pennsylvania. In this role, Nick collaborates with departments, committees, faculty and students to infuse sustainability into the six colleges and universities within the LVAIC. For instance, LVAIC has sponsored a bi-annual sustainability conference drawing in over 150 students, faculty, staff and community members to share ideas and research on ways of being better stewards of the planet.

Nick has also been serving as the Board Treasurer of the Lehigh Valley Sustainability Network since 2015, and has more than 25 years of experience providing environmental consulting services.
